Sounds like you should see a lawyer this is not a simple question that can be answered over the internet such as should I get a will. However, if your dog did bite the girl and they can prove it you will owe a lot more money than a vet bill.

If you receive a Summons to go to Court you must go. Everything else you mentioned is irrelevant. You will need to retain an attorney and contact your home owners insurance company to report this. Good luck.
I was told that because the animal wasn't declared "potentially dangerous" then I am unable to get dog put down. Can I have previous hearings re-opened, the dog retroactively declared "potentially dangerous" so that I may seek euthanasia.
