It's possible all that needs to be done to pay reinstatement fees and perhaps retest. If your license was... View More

If he is on probation, which I suspect he is, you need to speak with the PO about completing the classes in a different state with a different organization. If he had a lawyer, which he should have, the lawyer may be willing to work this out for you. Make sure he gets permission from the PO for him... View More

Q: Will I go to jail on my first DUI if I blew over a .17

If you are convicted of the high test (.17 and up), the minimum sentence is 3 days in jail plus the DIP program. A lawyer can typically work out a plea to avoid conviction of the high test, and may even be able to do better than that. You should get a lawyer.

You should hire an attorney. OVI cases are no joke. Mandatory jail, big fines, long license suspensions and mounting penalties for multiple infractions make it important to have quality representation to mitigate the damage or fight the charge.

If this is your first DUI conviction, the statute requires you spend 3 days in jail. However, the court is permitted to substitute a three day DIP (driver intervention program) at your cost for the 3 days. This is common practice, but does not occur in every case. The maximum penalty is 180 days in... View More
