Q: Regarding Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. Trying to get status from USCIS

Been waiting 18 months now for USCIS to renew my step-daughter's green card. We started the process a few months before it was going to expire. She's now on a 24-month extension because of the pandemic slow-down.

You may submit a written inquiry to USCIS requesting information on the status of your step-daughter's Form I-751 application. There is not a specific form for this type of inquiry, but you should include the following information in your letter:

Q: My spouse, in Nepal, had immigration visa granted. Will she be able to come to US with this current US Immigration Ban?

I am a U.S. Permanent Resident and applied for immigration visa for my spouse. Her case has been approved and immigration visa was granted to her after successful interview with US Embassy in Nepal. All she needed was to fly to US and she would get her Green Card in 1 month or so after arrival.... View More

Yes. Your spouse will be admitted into the USA. The temporary ban does not apply to spouses of USC's. Secondly she already has a visa.
