Jasper, AL asked in Consumer Law, Civil Rights, Health Care Law and Medical Malpractice for Alabama

Q: I have a case, but it is not lucrative enough for an attorney to accept, what are my options to see it through?

I am highly educated and I am fully aware of my civil rights. I know that I have been treated differently due to my disability. Having endured multiple discriminatory and abusive encounters with the same company and same manager at that company, then fell victim to an attempt at intimidation by that manager's superior, I am not turning the other cheek. If I cannot find an attorney who will take this case, I will read the law books from cover to cover and I will stand and face the giant alone.

A: You legally can represent yourself in legal proceedings.

It’s not a great idea, and the overwhelming majority of pro se litigants lose. Even most lawyers don’t represent themselves for very good reasons.
