Even if you didn't have any insurance, you're still entitled to recover for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering if you were not at fault and at-fault's auto insurance accepts liability.

It's a possibility that you're covered as long as you don't meet an exclusion on the actual policy from the person's policy of whomever gave you permission. I wouldn't worry about exclusions from your "own" policy unless the at fault party doesn't have valid insurance.
