Q: I was paid incorrectly and I'm owed $9000. They say they "don't do that," and should have told them sooner.

Maryland law requires that employers pay proper wages in a timely fashion. Your post doesn't explain how the incorrect pay arose -- was this a calculation error, wrong hourly pay amount, docked hours or something else? Unfortunately it is difficult to answer your question further without knowing more about the nature of the error.
