There are various court systems within the United States, and each has its own index of party names. For example, each of the 50 states has its own judicial system. As well, there are federal courts within each states, and in many states the federal courts have been organized into 2 or more districts. If you know which court system your employer may have been sued in, you can go to that court's index and run a search under your employer's name. Many of the indecies are now available online.
