Q: What can I do if both my children were injured by my old babysitters dog when she watched them & both still have scars?
First, she told me her dog "ran into" my 1 year old with his mouth open. She still has a scar over her mouth. After that incident I told her she could not have the dog around the kids or I would have to find another babysitter. She agreed, saying the dog gets nervous around the kids so she kept him in a room away from the kids. A few months go by and then my son gets bit in the face by her dog, only this time he needed stitches. He still has a nasty scar under his eye months later. I want to contact a lawyer about suing her for negligence. My son has nightmares to this day and both him and my daughter are terrified of dogs.
A: Definitely contact a VA injury lawyer about this. Depending on VA laws, you may be able to make a claim for both incident. And get a safer babysitter.

A: Yes, you can sue her for negligence but do you think she is covered by insurance or has the money to pay a judgement? Seems unlikely.
