Q: My lawyer said an ED affidavit had to be filled out and filed by my husband and I or he would drop my case? Is this true

My husband and I are in the process of getting a divorce. He left the family stating to us that he would return as soon as he got sober. Well, he never got sober, but he did get a younger women, one that I saw, and he admitted to me there were several more. (Me. As far as he tells everyone else, he never cheated.) Basically it changed to, we didn't get along, and he was not getting any younger so he needed to explore while he still had the chance. A typical midlife crisis scenario. My son and I were left to take care of ourselves, with a little money thrown here and there. So after a year and a half waiting for him to come to his senses, and having the other women, (girl) thrown in my face, I decided to get a lawyer, and a divorce. Even though I know now I will never live with him again, we have been civilly talking, and have had sexual relations which has put us both in agreement to hold off on divorcing, no rush, with a written agreement already in play of spousal & child support.

A: If your lawyer tells you to do something or he will withdraw from your case then your options are to do what you were told to do or risk the attorney withdrawing - that's certainly a true enough statement.
