Q: My husband had a fall from a scaffold at work in January 2017. They called the ER and demanded no time off.
We went to their dr. and he commanded us back to work on day 2. My husband took personal time( 3 days) and a weeks vacation because he could not hardly sit up. He returned after that but was doing so bad. He took 2 more weeks off and continued to decline. He started a bad cough. He was placed in ICU with a bacterial pneumonia, sepsis of urinary and blood. 4 broken ribs. WC dr. never saw xrays when he ordered back to work. They shipped my husband to another town by plane and he had pus, blood and fluid pulled from intersistal. We can not get workmans comp to call us back and was given bad numbers. The nurse at the plant called all medical treators to get them to say different. We had to use own dr to get diagnosis. The WC dr. saw us after hospital dismissal for 6 weeks. Is this not still covered? We have over 100,000.00 dollars in bills and lossed wages of all the personal time and the 31/2 months off. He returned on limited duty after that while still being seen by comp dr.
