Los Angeles, CA asked in Divorce and Immigration Law for California

Q: I have 1 year old marriage based green card, Do I need to leave the country after divorce? Please give me an advice

My husband left me overnight without planning with me anything and abandoned me. He wants to divorce.

He had an emotional affair secretly at least this year since January ( I have some proof for that), he destroyed me emotionally. I don't have proof for actually sexual relationship. I am now left in our expensive apartment without any money or any plans for the future.

He is not willing to talk to me, he blocked my phone number, I can not reach out to him, he just calls me when he wants to ask something. I don't have anybody here to help me. I love him and I was always willing to help on our relationship. But he did not.

I was also woking for him, now I don't have access to any work surfaces anymore, he locked me out from everywhere and I am devastated. would like to know is there any chances for me? Is there anything what I can do for my situation?

I am afraid what will gonna happen to me, I am afraid I need to leave the country because of I believed him.
