Q: Can my bf apply for a visa or green card if he has a misdemeanor in domestic violence? Or could I petition for him?
He has been convicted of a misdemeanor in domestic violence and will be doing 30 days in a pay to stay prison program. I am a citizen and we have a son together. I’d like to know if he has any way to apply for either a visa, work permit, green card, or If i myself can petition him once we get married?

Interesting question. A domestic violence conviction makes him "deportable", but not "inadmissible".
Therefore, if you marry him, you can sponsor him for a green card.
