Q: I was arrested due child molestation allegation by my current wife. I was released by paying $2000 bond. What's next?
Since I got out of jail, I have not received any notices or been served with legal docs. What should I do next?
A: These are very serious allegations with harsh legal consequences if convicted. Don't make any statements to police detectives as you might incriminate yourself. If you are contacted by law enforcement, be polite, but decline to answer any questions until you have consulted with an attorney. What's next? You need to consult with a criminal lawyer immediately to review the details of your case and discuss legal options. Use Google or Justia to locate and call a local criminal attorney. Remain silent.
