Q: How long does it take to get a decision on a green card after the interview?
A: It varies according to the facts in the case. Many times, our clients are approved within a week or two. Other times, USCIS refuses to make a decision for months and sometimes we have to sue them in Federal Court in order to force them to make a decision.
A: It depends. USCIS can take as much time as it wants to make a decision on a green card case. We recommend consulting with an immigration attorney who is familiar with the jurisdiction in which you applied so s/he can give you an educated response to that question.
