Q: Is it legal for my company to put the last 4 of my social security number on a paper timesheet?
The company I work for is a contractor to Nashville Electric Service and NES wants it on there so they can identify us Incase we leave our company and try to get hired to a different contractor for NES. Not one employee has signed a non compete form supposedly it is an agreement between NES and both of its contractors we have to be off the Electric system for 90 days to be eligible for hire between the companies. All of the employees so far do not want this info out there especially since it is on paper not even electronic on a locked devise such as a iPad or some sort of table that can be locked with a passcode. Thank you for your time.
