Wauchula, FL asked in Family Law, Child Custody, Juvenile Law and Landlord - Tenant for Florida

Q: Can my non guardian grandmother kick me out, a minor, if i have paid 200 a month to live with her.

I am a 17 year old living with my grandmother in a trailer/rv park. She does not have legal custody or guardianship of me, as she moved to get me out of a bad situation. She is now kicking me out with no where to go because she doesnt like me as a person. I have lived with her for 3 month approx. and have been paying the electric bill. 200 dollars a month. Does she have the legal right to kick me out without an eviction. Or does the law apply where you cannot kick a minor out of the house, with no where to go, because it can classified as abandonment. Please help asap.

A: Your grandmother would have to obtain a court order to evict you.
