Q: Can I get a new claim representative if the one I have is being difficult to work with

A: You could ask for one if there is something very acrimonious in the chemistry in your working relationship. But for the most part, the role of a claim rep is adversarial to the claimant. The claim rep is not there to be a mentor or friend. Claim reps are highly intelligent, analytical, and well-trained.

If they were not bright, they would not be placed in the position of being goalkeepers for multi-million dollar policies. They are going to ask questions and request information. They are going to challenge your claim.

Short of having a law degree, I've met many who would hold their own in a courtroom against attorneys in defending a claim. The replacement you hope for could be just as serious in defending the claim. That's their job. Good luck
