Q: If I can’t pay rent with two months left on lease and have moved out can I be in trouble?
I have roommate he lost job I moved to take care of my mom with breast cancer we have two months left if we moved out can I be liable? I don’t care if they take the deposit.

CAN you, yes.
WILL you? Hard to say. You will almost certainly 'lose' your security deposit, and assuming that is 1.5 month's rent, I doubt a landlord will sue for half a month's unpaid rent if you don't also trash the place.
A BETTER course of action would be to contact the landlord and see what you can work out. I've never been a big fan of 'better to ask forgiveness than permission' and the WORST thing that can happen is the landlord says 'no' so why not try it. In the mean time, you've put them on notice that they have an obligation to mitigate their damages so they can't just 'sit back' and expect you to pay the last two months rent. Be sure to give them the statutorily required notice of a forwarding address for your security deposit at the same time.
