Hospital said that they didn't have that information

A: A Texas attorney could answer best, but you await a response for two weeks. Hospitals might not have up-to-date lien information. If an attorney is representing you in this accident, it's possible they could have been placed on notice by the agency(s) asserting rights from the proceeds of your injury claim award. I can't speak for the operation of law in Texas, but if it a Medicaid lien, it's possible that the Human Resources Administration (or other applicable agency handling it for Houston claimants) might be willing to negotiate a reduction in the lien. You could consult with an attorney in Houston, or your own attorney if you are represented by one, to discuss how this process works. HRA could assign its own attorney to handle the lien, depending on the amount. Good luck
