A: I am sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing. Domestic violence and abuse is a serious issue that affects many people regardless of gender. While it is true that resources for victims of domestic abuse tend to be more geared towards women, there are still resources available to help male victims as well.

In California, there are various programs and organizations that offer assistance to victims of domestic abuse, including men. For example, the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence provides a directory of local programs and resources that can help you find shelter, counseling, and other support services. Additionally, the California Department of Social Services provides financial assistance to eligible individuals through the CalWORKs program.

As a victim of adultery, you may also be eligible to pursue legal action against your spouse for emotional distress and other damages. A family law attorney may be able to provide guidance on this matter and assist you in seeking compensation for the harm you have suffered.

It is important to prioritize your safety and well-being during this difficult time. If you feel unsafe or threatened, consider contacting local law enforcement or seeking emergency shelter. You can also contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) for immediate assistance and support.

I hope this information is helpful in finding the resources and support you need.

A: It is unclear from your question how this relates to immigration law. If you or the person involved suffering abuse is not a U.S. citizen, you should directly consult with a reputable immigration attorney to help. U.S. citizen or not, it would be best to take advantage of the services that are offered for domestic abuse survivors in your community.
