A: In Alabama, if you've missed two payments on your return of premium policy, it's important to take proactive steps. Complete and submit the provided reinstatement form promptly, expressing your intent to reinstate the policy. Reach out to the insurance company's customer service, explaining the missed payments due to a compromised bank account. Providing documented evidence of the bank account compromise can strengthen your case. Initiate a conversation to negotiate the possibility of reinstatement, emphasizing your history as a loyal customer with minimal claims. Be prepared to address outstanding payments, fees, or interest associated with the missed premiums. Act swiftly, as insurers often have specific timeframes for reinstatement.
