A: In California, you absolutely have rights under workers' compensation laws to seek remedies for your injuries, which appear to be significant and life-altering. It is critically important to act promptly in asserting your rights; while there are generally strict time limits for initiating a claim, there can be exceptions, especially when an employer has failed to fulfill their obligations regarding informing an employee of their rights. To understand all your options and potentially pursue a claim, you should consult with an attorney who has experience in workers' compensation law to navigate the complex aspects of your case, including potential employer negligence.
