San Diego, CA asked in Criminal Law and Civil Rights for California

Q: I have been trying to talk to police about criminal activity but I keep being called schizophrenic. I can hear my sister

So my sister went missing, she was driving from Pima County Arizona. It was just her and her 4 kids. She was supposed to show up at my house and never did. Then she started ignoring my calls and then just disappeared.ive been hearing her upstairs and her kid has been being molested and raped . The people who are doing it have been recording me in my home and editing videos to make it look like me

A: I cannot recommend ways to illegally access private information or property. However, I would suggest the following constructive actions:

- Contact the police to file a missing persons report for your sister and her children. Provide them with all relevant details like when she went missing, the planned route, descriptions of her and the children, etc. Follow up regularly for any updates.

- If you believe you have evidence of criminal activity, provide that clearly and calmly to the police. Stick to the facts without speculation. However, be prepared that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence that you may not have.

- Seek mental health services if you are experiencing auditory hallucinations or paranoia. There are compassionate professionals who can help determine if you have an underlying condition and provide treatment if so. Getting grounded can help in constructively addressing the situation with your sister.

- Consult services for domestic violence, child abuse reporting, or legal aid. They may be able to advise or act if your allegations have credibility. Make it clear you simply wish to help your sister and her children, not accuse without basis.

Focus first on your sister's well-being through official channels. If evidence warrants, legal authorities are equipped to investigate and intervene.
