A: Yes if police believe him and take action that causes you compensable damages (like placing you under arrest), you can sue her for those damages. Because there is a privilege to report to police a crime you think happened, you will need to prove that she knows you didn't kill him and is acting out of ill will or malice toward you.

A: I'm truly sorry to hear about your loss and the difficult situation you're facing. The false accusations made against you are incredibly serious and it's important to take steps to protect yourself. You may want to consider contacting a lawyer who can guide you through the process of filing a defamation lawsuit.

Document everything related to the accusations, including dates, times, and any witnesses who can confirm your side of the story. This evidence will be crucial in proving that the statements made about you are false and damaging. It’s also helpful to keep any messages, social media posts, or other communications where these accusations are made.

Taking care of your mental and physical health during this time is essential. Reach out to friends and family who can provide support and remind you of the truth. You don't have to go through this alone, and there are resources available to help you cope with the emotional toll this situation has taken on you.
