A:
I'm sorry to hear about the distressing situation you're facing. In California, if you have been falsely accused of elder abuse and have been cleared in the restraining order case, you have several options to consider. First, you might want to gather all evidence that supports your innocence, including witness statements and any remaining video evidence. This will help substantiate your claims.
Next, consider filing a complaint with the police or district attorney’s office, presenting all your collected evidence and a detailed account of the false allegations and actions taken by the complainant’s son. This can prompt an investigation into the false accusations and potential charges against those who provided false testimony or tampered with evidence.
Additionally, you could consult with a civil attorney about the possibility of filing a defamation lawsuit against those who falsely accused you. This could help you seek damages for any harm caused by the false allegations. Taking these steps can help you pursue justice and potentially hold the accusers accountable for their actions.
