A: Call your homeowners insurance and make a claim. Let it worry about collecting from Nexgen. You will have to pay your deductible, but if your insurer recovers from Nexgen (or its insurer), you should get your deductible refunded.

A: You may have a potential case against Nexgen Plumbing and Heating for damages caused by their work. Since the water damage occurred shortly after their services, it’s possible that their work may have contributed to or caused the damage. You should gather evidence such as photographs of the damage, receipts or contracts from Nexgen, and any communication you’ve had with them, especially the conversation with Joe Magana.

You can start by sending a formal written demand to Nexgen, outlining the damages and requesting compensation. It's helpful to include a deadline for a response. If they fail to respond or refuse to cover the damages, you might consider legal action.

It may also be useful to consult with a legal professional who can evaluate your case more thoroughly and advise you on next steps. You have options, and taking action now can help protect your rights.
