Q: Can I get legal actions against me with can-spam law?
Quite simple. I want to do cheap marketing. I want to promote my product which is a computer wallpaper, but the list of 10 million emails is without users' consent and the way I want to promote is to spoof my own email. In chatgpt it says that I could have legal consequences for forging my own email. I don't understand how this would be possible if the email is legitimate giving positive points and reasons for people to buy my wallpaper. It's not fraud. If I were sued, would the problems be that serious for trying to promote a legitimate product and spoofing my own email?
