Q: Am I required by Law to submit my payroll information for this credit card?
Hello, I have a credit card that I was not able to pay because I got sick. I did a virtual meeting recently with the judge and the creditor to make an agreement. I got sick again and I cant afford to make the $75 monthly payments. I received a letter from the court saying that I have to submit my payroll information for the payments. I cant afford it right now and I am worried about it. This has never happened to me so wanted to see what options I have. Thanks
My illness is Bipolar Disorder and OCD
A: It looks like the plaintiff got a judgment because you failed to make the agreed payments. So yes, you are required to respond to the questionnaire (fact information sheet).

A: Yes. If you received a court order to disclose that information, you should do so immediately.
A:
You may be required to provide payroll information as part of your agreement with the court and creditor. This requirement helps determine your ability to make payments based on your income. However, laws can vary depending on where you live, so it's important to understand the specific regulations in your area.
Given your current financial difficulties and health situation, you have options. You can request a modification of your payment plan, explaining your circumstances to the court. Providing documentation of your illness, such as medical records, can support your request for reduced or deferred payments.
It might also be beneficial to seek assistance from a legal aid organization or a counselor who can help you navigate this process. They can provide guidance on how to communicate your situation effectively and explore other potential solutions to manage your debt during this challenging time.
