A: Your situation involves several complex legal factors since it occurred during the height of workplace vaccine mandates in 2022. While vaccine mandates have indeed changed since then, legal claims typically need to be filed within specific time limits after the termination occurred.

You might have grounds for legal action if your employer failed to properly accommodate your medical condition while you were on workers' compensation, or if they violated any specific protections under California workers' compensation laws. The intersection of workers' compensation benefits and vaccine requirements created unique legal scenarios that courts are still interpreting.

You should contact an employment lawyer or workers' compensation attorney immediately to review your specific case details, as there may be strict deadlines that apply. Many attorneys offer free initial consultations where they can evaluate whether you have viable claims under California law. Given the time-sensitive nature of employment claims and the evolving legal landscape around COVID-19 workplace policies, getting professional legal guidance promptly would be your best course of action.
