Q: Inquiry About Potential Wrongful Termination Case

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek guidance regarding my recent termination from a retail job and to determine if there may be grounds for a wrongful termination case.

I was terminated due to poor customer service while I was already on a final warning. However, after receiving this final warning, I was not provided with any additional training, guidance, or a probationary period to help me improve my performance. The termination was immediate, with no offer of demotion or alternative options to remain employed.

I understand that most states operate under at-will employment. However, I am wondering if there are any federal laws or employment standards that could apply in this situation, particularly given the lack of support or corrective measures offered after the final warning.

Could this immediate dismissal without any attempt at performance improvement support be considered wrongful termination? Any insights on this would be helpful.
