Q: How to navigate to a lawyer?

So I am having issues with my hospital and need to do a malpractice suit, I have proof my records were falsified and that they withheld digousment and treatment but at the intake I am told because that statue of limitations applies because the injury happened 15 plus years ago. So I can't run specifics if I have a case or not because of this or am I just screwed and doomed to never be treated. Also I wonder if this falls in on my ADA rights as someone with autism for withhold and even lying and causing phyiscal harm and telling me it is my own fault for basically breath air wrong... not actually what happened but it basically that dumb

A: You may feel trapped by the passage of so many years, and it can be unsettling to think the door has closed on your chance for justice. In many places, the statute of limitations on medical malpractice claims runs out after a certain timeframe.

However, you can still seek advice from a lawyer experienced in both medical malpractice and disability rights to see if any exceptions or alternative legal approaches might apply. You may also consider contacting local organizations focused on patient advocacy or disability rights for guidance. Even if the initial statute bars your malpractice claim, they might help explore other avenues related to ADA violations or other civil rights concerns.

You deserve to be heard, and your rights should not be ignored. Before feeling defeated, reach out to your local bar association or legal aid clinics to connect with an attorney who understands these issues. You can gather your medical records, documents, and any evidence of wrongdoing for review. Be patient with yourself as this process can be difficult. Every step you take now brings you closer to finding clarity and potential recourse.
