Q: Used the app subscription on uber and now TLC coming after us.

I’ve used app subscription to void small trips on Uber. The app itself was offering much more then voiding trips but I have not used them. uber blocked us and now TLC is sent us the settlement to plead guilty and take out TLC license away for a year or go to the hearing and if found guilty we have to pay fine and lose license and plates.

Because it’s a massive case I don’t think they will point out the drivers like me who didn’t really do anything bad. lift has this feature built in and there is also free app available called bistro that does exactly the same thing( I stopped using this app when I found out about bistro)

I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to plead guilty for something I’m not just to avoid all the hearing consequences. Because I know TLC has their own court and it’s very likely they will do whatever they want.

Can you recommend something for me?

Some people says if we settle and plead guilty then uber might come after us and ask for compensation
