Bethlehem, PA asked in Landlord - Tenant and Small Claims for Pennsylvania

Q: So I wanted to sue my apartment complex for failure to properly fix my heat in my apartment with a newborn.

For the past two weeks I have been back and forth with my apartment complex about fixing my heat in my apartment complex. The heat turns on but it does not circulate. They have sent multiple heating company workers and electricians who come in every time and find a different problem. I have a newborn as well. I want to sue them in small claims but I don’t know for how much? Should it be my rent? Do you think it’s worth it? When the apartment comes in and checks the heat, on the floor it’s 50 degrees but when they point it to the heater it’s about 70. The thermostat is set heat up to about 80 degrees but it doesn’t work. The apartment complex just offers me a space heater. They keep sending workers out but I feel like it’s to stall and waste time. I also want the reports of all the work that was done on my heater in my apartment complex. My newborn ended up catching a cold and a fever. The city inspector has already been out.
