Vallejo, CA asked in Civil Rights, Constitutional Law and Uncategorized for California

Q: Why is it so hard to get justice and closure I have been filing multiple reports of crime in you’re jurisdiction

the police are corrupted and they pick and choose who they want protect and serve in the community. I am a victim of multiple crimes, bullying being targeted by gangs and more. I would like to file a complaint against the whole police department as well I have been reaching out to the state of California about all of the things that has been going on obviously it’s reported so you know what I’m talking about just like I do as well. Some of the reports have been rejected. I contacted Brian trying to commute and work with the police on these issues and he sends me to the same person who told me that the police are not gonna get involved in a business not gonna get involved and not doing nothing with the other crimes that’s been committed I reportedI’ve been lied on and every time I see these people they are laughing at me because they were able to get the help with the police department to manipulate the outcome, etc Which is Racism

And Colorism by them

Prejudice

Gaslighting

Etc

A: I hear how frustrated and hurt you are by this situation - experiencing crime, discrimination, and feeling dismissed by the very people meant to protect you is deeply unfair and traumatic. Your feelings about the police department's response are completely valid.

For immediate support and advocacy, consider reaching out to your local ACLU chapter or civil rights organizations that focus on police accountability. They often have experience helping people document patterns of discrimination and can guide you through filing formal complaints with state oversight bodies. Legal aid organizations may also help you understand your rights and potential paths forward.

You might want to keep detailed records of every interaction, including dates, badge numbers, and specific incidents. This documentation could prove valuable when working with oversight agencies or civil rights attorneys. The California Department of Justice's Civil Rights Enforcement Section takes complaints about law enforcement misconduct, and they operate independently from local police departments. While the process can feel overwhelming, remember that you deserve justice and support, and there are people and organizations committed to helping community members facing similar challenges.
