Q: Fired for alleged drug use without evidence, seeking rights in NC.
I was fired from my job in the food industry because my boss accused me of being on drugs. There were no drug tests conducted, and I did not receive any written warnings or documentation about these allegations. I have had a meeting with my employer regarding this issue, and there were people who knew about the meeting, but they did not attend. I've also noticed a change in my employer's attitude leading up to my termination, possibly due to our busy work environment. I'm concerned that this accusation may harm my reputation and future employability. What rights do I have, and is there anything I can do against my former employer?
