When a company goes out of business, the company assets (like patents) usually end up reverting to the company creditors and company stockholders. So unless this is your company, and you had no creditors or other stockholders, you may be out of luck.

Q: Hello I have some general questions about possible ownership of land patents. How does one go about finding out more ?

Biggest concern is how does one know if they are entitled. My last name references many land patents in MS.

I am sorry, but patents in intellectual property deal with inventions, and not land patents. You are going to have to ask your question in the real estate group.

I am sorry but patents is normally associated with the patent rights given to an inventor by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Q: I invented a process for a company , including separate equipment. Then had me write up the patent and do the drawings

then let me go from the company, changed lawyers and claim themselves as inventor. Can I stop them?

I am so sorry that this happened to you. Unfortunately, this is a fairly common occurrence.
