Q: If my girlfriend was charged with domestic violence and isn't allowed in my home, will the cops drop by often to check?

Did you get convicted? If not, you still have the right to keep and bear arms, unless restricted by the terms of your release (assuming you were released on bail or something like that. Obviously if you are incarcerated you cannot possess a weapon there).

Q: My boyfriend didn't actually hit me and now he faces immigration what can I do?

He was arrested last night and he has court at 10. They're saying that immigration I'll take him if I don't drop the charges. The thing is I never said to the officer that I want to press charges.

Q: If my bf got a domestic violence charge and domestic assault. Do to 3 witnesses saying he hit me.

When I said he didn't and there were no marks. And they say he pulled my hair but I where hair extensions. None were ripped out. The only marks I had on myself were from the officer. They don't believe me because the 3 witnesses saying what they said. How can I fight this. What happens if he loses??

The difference between a felony and misdemeanor is a felony as opposed to a misdemeanor conviction and prison vs jail (if any). Q: Charged with DV for the first time. will the state require for us not to see each other for undetermined amount of time?

Conditions for release were no contact. Is there a chance for the prosecutor to drop the charges since both parties don't have a record? And would we be able to see each other after that?
