Q: If I give my home in Ky, which I live in, to my son (as1 time gift) who owes child support in MI.

Can the state of MI take it? What if I just put his name on the title?

Sorry, but I don't understand how giving your son a home would have anything to do with modifying his duty to pay child support pursuant to a Michigan decree.

Q: A few years ago I got divorced my ex wife signed everything overBut her name is still on my deed what do I do now and

Who do I contact about it? What's the cost usually? I have since remarried and want to add my wife now to the deed just don't know what to do? Still have the divorce decree where she signed over all rights to the property just got divorced pro sa and didn't know I needed to do anything else

You need to record a deed conveying the ex-wife interest in the property to you. If she failed to sign such a deed back then, you need to get her to do so now. If you cannot get her to do so, you will need the court which awarded the divorce decree to enter an order that the property now belongs... View More
