Q: Can a lawyer find out if someone is married in Mexico?

My friend is trying to get his marriage annulled or get a divorce. He recently learned that his wife may have already been married in Mexico when she married him in the USA. His US lawyer can find a Mexican lawyer through the US embassy.

Q: I married a woman from Brazil in New Orleans in 2007. She abandoned the marriage in 2013 and returned to Brazil.

We both want divorce now. No children. No property. What is the most expeditious way to proceed.

Hire a lawyer to get a 103 divorce and potentially needed Curator.
