It is possible that you have a lawsuit if you suffered actual legally compensable injuries.

The FDA has approved a ketamine-based medication for depression which is administered as a nasal spray called esketamine (Spravato). It is only approved for adults who haven’t been helped by oral...

Q: My question is regarding medical malpractice. that resulted in death

My mother had a heart catheter done, the doctor said everything went great, even discharged her hours after the procedure rather than keeping her through the weekend as initially planned. 18 days later she died of a heart attack.

It could be medical malpractice. Medical malpractice means that a doctor violated the standard of care. A bad outcome is not enough. Another doctor would be needed to evaluate what the doctors did.

A Wisconsin attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for four weeks. Until you are able to arrange a meaningful consult with a local attorney in your state, it's possible there could be a broad range of authority granted to the hospital and its associated medical providers in... Q: Is your doctor committing malpractice when they refuse to give post-operative care?

I had a medical procedure on March 13th 2020. On March 20th 2020 I was supposed to have my first post-op care check-up visit. Upon getting there basically the appointment ended up being just a meet and greet. They told me that the pandemic prevented them from giving me the treatment that I needed.... View More

Hopefully, it will not come to that and hopefully, you will enjoy a healthy recovery. But your question is difficult to answer because it calls for speculation as to whether the physician's conduct amounted to a breach of duty. If something did go wrong, the conduct would be evaluated with the... View More

Q: Is it legal, and/or usual for doctors and surgeons to pay lawyers, to not take legal action against them?

A Wisconsin attorney could best answer your question, but it remains open for two weeks. Ordinarily and more commonly, the doctors' and surgeons' malpractice carriers pay such money. And technically, that money goes to the claimant who has standing to bring an action. The lawyer is paid... View More

Missing a stitch would be hopefully reveled by the surgery in December. I'm not hearing you were told much about what is going on. Maybe ask that doctor if it is usual and if not what the causes are etc.

I am assuming that the people you've been seeing are specialists in hernias....

Unlikely you would have a case unless the nature of the cyst was such that any reasonable doctor would have recommended the surgery. However it the issue is should they have recommended and MRI, then a lot depends on time things happened, etc. Contact a member of the Wisconsin Assn for Justice who... View More
