Q: Im being wrongfully evicted.. help??

I am being evicted as an individual by my soon to be ex motherinlaw. I have 2 kids and have lived in this home for 6 yrs. She has paid all expenses for me and my kids during this time. Her son and I have been together for 6 years and have been married since Jan 2016. We have a 3 yr old son together. My husband has been abusive throughout our relationship and has been in and out of jail and has a history of domestic violence on his record. In September 2016 he was in a motorcycle crash and has been hospitalized and since then moved in with his sister. I can finally file divorce and move on from his abuse. When his mother found out I no longer want to be with him she has started an eviction process. She has changed the locks on me and has been harassing me and now I am getting random threats from my exs friends.. I need someone who can defend me in a couple different areas and I am limited on funds.. please help me and my kids..

A: All evictions need to be filed in court, otherwise you can sue for wrongful eviction. You may want to consider filing for a restraining order, child custody, child support, and spousal support in family court.
