Q: California: I've yet to be payed from my job, I quit. It's been two weeks since the pay period ended.
I quit, should've been payed 72 hours later because I didn't give notice. I've messaged my boss and have confirmation thru email that he'd "check on my pay" twice thru email.
My final day was the 17th of April, I should've been payed that Thursday the 20th, the Pay period ended the next day (21st). It's now two weeks later and I'm yet to be payed what I was owed, and have filed a wage claim/time penalty with the labor commissioner. I've got, in writing, that I still haven't been payed.
What's my next step?
