Q: Can I get in evicted for getting another cat, if on my signed lease agreement it doesn't specify a limit?
The written agreement only says pets: cats are permitted. And then nothing else about pets. 2 years ago when I first moved in a think my landlord mentioned we were only allowed one cat, but it doesn't say anything in the agreement I signed. So can I get evicted for getting another cat?

If indeed the lease allows 'cats' and you want two, there is likely no problem. HOWEVER Without seeing the document nobody can provide a real opinion for you.
Even if the lease provides you may have "cats" (and not "a cat" or "One cat" etc.) if you try to bring in 54 cats, chances are you are being unreasonable and CAN be evicted. Again, without seeing the documents it is impossible to say, but you are never 'off' if you try to act 'reasonably' and courts DO punish people who try to push the bounds of 'reasonable'.
LASTLY, if you moved in 2 years ago, you may well be on a month to month lease at this point, and as such, the landlord can simply provide you a '30 day notice to quit' and evict you for no reason at all .... again, without seeing the documentation it is impossible to provide real advice, but (and if this sounds repetitive it should -- it matters!) if you are 'reasonable' about things, it goes a long way towards avoiding problems.
