Valencia, CA asked in Business Law and Employment Law for California

Q: Hello, I have a shared medical office with another pediatrition. I subleased the office and when i started my practice

when i started my office, I used one of the employee of that offce to work for me, but we never had signed any full time or part time contract. she started charge me full time me as well. she is getting paid full time by other pediatirtion and although her focus is her, still keep charging me full time. due to volume of the work load, she mainly work full time for that doctor and still insisting that she has been working full time for me as well and requested to be paid full time. She was managing pay rol of my employee and working as an office manager, but she charged my accound for full time even when she was out of the office and placed her sefl on salary. I had some argument with her since she can not carch up covering my office and hers, she started hiring more people for me in order not to be behind and I am planning now to decrease her hours to 15 hours per week since that is what in reality work for me.

She I want to know what law says about this and what is my right?

A: It would be necessary to see any agreement you did or did not write. It would also be necessary to see her time sheets. Are you a pediatrician? Even if English is not their first language, people know how to spell their job titles.
