Q: arrested for vehicular manslaughter on atv but blood results for alcohol came back normal, what happens next?

arrested for vehicular manslaughter with suspesion for dui but blood alcohol level was normal but someone did end up dying in the crash, what happens to the driver? how long does a case like this usually take?

Driving a atv and it crashed or tipped and everyone was thrown out, no one in seatbelts. One passages killed and the other 2 are fine. The driver has no record. They were driving on private property when it crashed. Like I said his blood alcohol limit was under the legal limit.

A: It could be over tomorrow. It could go through trial and appeals and take years. Every case is different. What happens to the driver depends on the facts of the incident, which you haven't shared.

A: More info is needed to properly evaluate your case.

What you are doing is the same as asking a doctor to diagnose your problem over the phone when you say: I have a stomach ache, can you cure me and what will it cost?

However, it is always a good idea to contact a local attorney proximate to the court to which you would appear.

In other words, I am in Palm Springs and you don’t want to hire a Palm Springs lawyer for an LA case.

Most DUI and PI lawyers will offer a free consultation to review the facts. Most other areas of law are handled on an hourly, and thus I always suggest a prospective client write out a detailed summary in a page or so. That way you are not paying a lawyer to play secretary.

Call a local attorney to discuss your matter in more detail and to request an appointment. If there is no alcohol they could always allege a controlled substance or gross negligence.

A: This is a serious matter and I suggest you hire private counsel. Preferably a criminal attorney to advise you. Best of luck.
