A: much more info needed.

is there a paper trail for the money you loaned dad?

you should consult with a probate lawyer in your community to look at all the facts in a free consultation.

do yourself a favor and write down all the facts.........plus names, addresses, phone numbers etc

A: There is no question here, but I suggest you contact a real estate attorney if you are trying to collect a loan from 31 years ago. Your statute of limitations expired decades ago, but maybe you have some type of interest in the property.
