Q: A Question regarding "California Code, Labor Code - LAB § 203"
Hi, M 20
So i quit my job this Wednesday
Only worked 4 hours at 15 an hour
My employer is being vague on my last payment.
As far as i understand if he doesn't get in touch by Monday
My 60$ would be 180$
Because it was 72 hours the day after quitting?
My question is
Let's say he gives me my 60$ on Monday but refuses to give me my 120$
Does this labor law still apply?
Because i technically got my last pay but not the extra I'm entitled to by law
So does the 30 day payments still continue?
Or if he gives me just the 60 it's off at that point?
I'm really short on money for bills so anymore for me and my family would greatly help me
If anyone has legal advice please let me know! :)
A:
Once the unpaid wages are paid, the Waiting Time Penalties stop accruing. You would still be entitled to receive the Waiting Time Penalties that had accrued, but other than interest on those sums you are not entitled to any additional money.
Good luck to you.
Brad S Kane agrees with this answer
A: Once you receive your final compensation, waiting time penalties stop accruing even if the waiting time penalties are not paid. There are no waiting penalties on the waiting time penalties.
