A: If you are in California and are going through a divorce, you may be able to seek temporary orders from the court to address financial issues and ensure that bills are paid during the divorce process.

One option is to file a motion for temporary spousal support and/or temporary child support, which would require your husband to pay a certain amount of money each month to help cover your expenses during the divorce process. The court may also order your husband to pay certain bills or expenses, such as rent, utilities, and healthcare costs.

To file a motion for temporary support, you will need to submit a request to the court and provide information about your financial situation, including your income, expenses, and any assets or debts. It may also be helpful to consult with a family law attorney who can provide guidance on the process and help you prepare your case.

If your husband is refusing to pay bills unless you agree to his offer, this may be considered a form of financial abuse or coercion. It's important to prioritize your safety and well-being, and to seek support from resources such as domestic violence hotlines or legal aid organizations if you are experiencing abuse or harassment.

Overall, it's important to take steps to protect your financial interests during a divorce and to seek legal guidance as needed to ensure that your rights are protected.
