A: A Family Resolution Conference is a court-ordered meeting between parties in a family law case to discuss the issues in the case and try to reach a settlement. The court may order an FRC at any time during a family law case.

If your spouse's attorney has requested a postponement of the FRC, you may agree to the request or object to it. If you agree to the request, you will need to contact the court and request to reschedule the FRC to a later date.

If you want to postpone the FRC again, you may need to file a motion with the court and provide a valid reason for the postponement. Valid reasons for postponement may include illness, emergency, or scheduling conflicts. The court will then review your request and decide whether to grant the motion and reschedule the FRC.

It is important to note that postponing an FRC may delay the resolution of your case, and the court may not grant multiple postponements. You may want to consult with an experienced family law attorney to discuss your specific situation and determine the best course of action.
