Q: do i have the rights to sue my employer because of my condition now i get fungal infections and i get this in my work

I'm working in salon so I'm directly contact with the clients and one time i did client who have athlete foot but the salon don't have gloves it's finish so after that i get infected with this diseas now my face have fungal infection and it's getting worst it's spread all over my body and my employer didn't give medical insurance even it's included to my job contract what do i need to do ? please give me some advice

A: Sorry to hear about this. If you are actually an employee vs. and independent contractor, you can file a Worker's compensation claim with the state board where you work. You can get medical benefits and possibly lost wages. You may have an additional claim for "serious and willful misconduct" by the employer for failing to provide you with necessary safety equipment. If you are not an employee, you may still have claims against the employer based on negligence. This case is under Worker's Comp and Personal Injury.
